Today, Michelle and I went out to get free plants from the local community. On our way back, we saw 34 caterpillars, all walking head to tail, in one long line. Big hairy ones, all about the same size, they were moving so very slowly. It was pretty incredible, and neither of us had ever seen anything like it before.
Another something cool seen recently as well, but I can’t remember exactly what right now. Something along the lines of awesome nature. Clouds have been cool as well, seeing nice sunsets and up earlier in the days to see the nice morning light.
Went to the beach today, not waves and not so hot, but good to get on to some sand with salt water. Good break from the city, even if it was only 1/2 hour out of town.
Getting a Linux server up here. Using iptables for masquerading, setting it up as a file server, the likes. Fun times, getting my geek brain back in order.
If you ever see those caterpillars again, try and rearrange them so that they walk in a circle. I’ve tried before, but never had the fortune to see 34 of them.
I’ve seen them trying to cross a freeway - but I don’t think they were quite fast enough…
