On my way to work out in the Capalaba shopping centre, a fair way out of town. It may be the last or second last day working for Greenpeace, and unfortunately not because I’ve found something better. After a few days of pestering people on the streets, I still haven’t found my stride and got them signing up, which is putting pressure on Lee, the guy I report to. He looked a fair bit more stressed each time I saw him, his whole team is under performing, so he’s got to be results oriented with all of them, me included. Not that he’s told me this directly – results oriented is not his style at all – but you can see it in the way he is.
Michelle was in town Tuesday and Tuesday night, and we hooked up with Kevin and Mary for drinks and then a spectacular Turkish meal at a place on Southbank. The staff other than the owner were from everywhere except Turkey. And we talked and laughed and had an absolutely wonderful time. Kevin and Mary are headed up to the Whitsundays eventually, with some great sounding plans between here and there, and Michelle is headed up to the Sunshine Coast with her sister Jackie.
