Just finished watching a movie called “Brassed Off” that was the source of samples for some Chumbawumba tracks: “I used to think that music mattered, but it doesn’t bollocks, not compared to our people matter!” From Tubthumping. The line actually comes right towards the end of the movie, but I recognized the voice almost as soon as the character showed up.

Today was hot and I didn’t get much done. I slept and went grocery shopping and ate and played chess. Lost twice tonight, mind wasn’t really concentrating, what with being tired, interested in the movie, and distracted by excitement of Michelle coming to town soon. For the record, I’ve won or tied every game against Ryan up to this point.
Haven’t been taking many photos at all these days – I’ve got a few rolls to get developed and a couple of them are 400 ISO film shot at higher speeds – 800 and 1600, respectively. I remember doing this in Ottawa and getting interesting results, and having no trouble finding a place to develop it. Getting this type of developing done was impossible in both Armidale and the places I went to in Sydney. I’ve not yet really looked here. There’s one really good photo shop I’ll have to go by and check out right downtown.
