Yesterday, I sulked. Today, I did get up late, but I got stuff done – out to the Potrero to take photos, lined up a climbing partner until the 2nd. Get on the rock again, after two days off. Got to get some strength back again.

I love my sleeping bag, especially now that it is warm and dry. The night is cold again, not see-your-breath cold, but definitely a snuggle down cold.

Last night I could see my breath in my tent. I could see my breath in the enclosed kitchen area. I could not see my breath outside because the bitter wind took it away too quickly. I wore many layers, as did everybody else.

A definite rest day today, what with the rain, the cold and the wind and the notable to see the Potrero from the campsite.

Got back on Eldorado Chewy today. It was my first 11 onsight, two years ago. Turns out to be 11c, and the general consensus these days is that it is truly that. Doing it again got a lot of confidence back – even though it was cold and windy, I ended up climbing through the [...]

Got up fairly early today. It was cloudy, foggy, threatening rain almost. Not really. Kris and I climbed Estrallita after posing for a shot on Jamie’s beast of a camera (large format!). He’ll have some sweet shots.

Thought it was much later than it turns out to be. I barely look at clocks these days, just go by when it feels right. Nice way to live.

Didn’t climb yesterday. At 6:39 AM Jimmy showed up at my tent and woe me up. My alarm had been going off for 9 minutes. “I don’t think we can do it today. I did not sleep.” Fine by me, I’ve got another 3 weeks to go for it in.

Kris and I climbed Black Cat Bone today. Most of it, at least. The second 10d pitch did me in, along with the failing light. We’d started at 1:30 PM or so, and it was a good choice to come down.

It’s cold and windy, it dropped below 10 degrees celcius today. Got some good climbing in nonetheless. Reading, as well. Want to get some sleep, but the sounds of karaoke are fighting hard against the wind to infest this campground.
