Banff

Got in to Banff about 8 PM last night. Checked in to Global Village Hostel, got one of the last beds. Seems space is at a premium nowadays. Met a bunch of folks, went out to the pubs. Folks (staff) remembered my face, which is good, if I want to work for accommodations here - I’ve talked to the guy already, so it’s find out tomorrow.

The Last Day

Kolob Canyon

On an overnight hike with Ian and Matt, into the Kolob Canyon section of Zion Park. For those of you who are concerned that I’m not getting enough adrenaline - I’ve been making up for lost time.

Zion, Day 2

A good day today, the Angels Landing hike was spectacular. Up 450 meters over a few kilometres wasn’t easy. Some spectacular views, the last stretch was along the top of a very thin ridge with 400+ meter drops on both sides, a single chain to hold on to, sometimes. And then Zion Canyon laid out in front and behind, beautiful.
