I had a dream this morning that was more than memorable. It stuck around as I woke up and then continued as I dozed off again. It dealt with flight, leaving the world, being alone, being respected and an integral part of a group, survival and the end of the world.

Satellite TV came in and I had to test it out. Plus I’ve started to adapt to a 10:30 AM to 2 AM awake period. I look after the place from 11 PM to 2 AM, then lock everything up.
A quiet Sunday, a few hours drywalling and cleanup, then cooked myself some chili which worked out extremely well, and vegetarian too: tomatoes and onions, garlic and kidney beans, red and green peppers, celery and TVP, plus black, cayenne and chipotle peppers for seasoning.
A distinct desire to communicate today, to reach out beyond the walls and people here. Unfortunately, there’s always someone around to distract, disrupt, sometimes even so far as to invade. I ignore you, why do you persist in talking to me? Can’t you see I’m currently occupied in a specific task?
It’s Thanksgiving soon. Last Thanksgiving, I went to see my sister who was house-sitting for our parents. It has become very foggy outside. I can see water droplets dancing in the air, lit by the second floor lights. Lights have shape, distance is not possible – the light is too heavy to make it through this atmosphere.
There’s a line that becomes very obvious when you choose to photograph an event. You stop being a participant and start being an observer.
