I am getting tired. The heat and the work are conspiring to take it out of me. THe nights are cool, and I stay up late to take advantage of this but usually end up just getting more done, keeping guests happy and things clean. I’m needing to find that relax time.

I had a chance to log in to my email today, but just log in – once every 30 days is needed so as things aren’t deleted. There’s a lot of non-junk mail hanging out in there. It’ll prolly be another week or so before I have a chance to go through it all (and update this journal) but at least it won’t get lost!
And it seems that I may have a ride (along with Michelle and Mayumi) to Penticton with Richard on the 30th. There’ll be some packing or moving of magazines on the 1st and a place to stay as well.
Then I’m heading back to Squamish, and Michelle is headed to Toronto and Ottawa to see what’s up there. She said that she is not comfortable getting in touch with people she doesn’t know, so I’ll be getting her contact details out to folks I do know.
At the end of the last retreat that was done mostly in silence (I didn’t talk to any of the participants) a fellow came up to me. “I’m so and so,” he started, “from Alberta, all cowboys around there.” I don’t really fit in to the cowboy theme. He continued: “When I first saw you…” and he shook his head in a disapproving way. “But your smile, you kept smiling all the time. It made a bit difference in my retreat. Thank you!” I was definitely honoured by this – here’s a guy I’ve never spoken to before saying something very nice to me.
