“Does anyone want a day off today or tomorrow?” Richard asked at the start of the morning meeting. I thought to myself: These are my days off – I don’t plan, organize, cook for myself or climb. This is one rest day after another, with a few interesting projects to do, great company and top quality food.

Plus tomorrow, if the rain lets up, I may get to toss around some straw bales or hay bales, not bay hales or hail bays.

Today I watched lightning strike both sides of the valley at the same time – the bolt split halfway down and one branch hit each site. Quite stunning, energizing, even at 11AM.
Another night of Sufi dancing, dances of universal peace. It’s the last night for the folks at the retreat and we all got together and sang and danced. There was an interruption to look at a rainbow. These seem to be my monthly thing.
