White Rabbits White Rabbits White Rabbits.
Woke up in Kaslo this morning – we left the Retreat Centre after 7 PM yesterday and spent the night on the Kaslo property. I got the attic, a wonderfully cluttered space with things like an emergency can (no contents – the can itself was for standing on, reflecting light, etc, etc.).
Today has been as hot as the rest of the days – we had a bit of thunder and lightning before leaving, and the rain looked to be falling halfway to the ground before evaporating. These are the days when you are sitting in the shade in the morning thinking that it’s nice and cool, then noticing the thermometer shows 23 degrees Celsius already. I go to bed late because it’s easier.
And it has been sing-alongs and some small talk, errands and snack stops, and now we’re leaving Grand FOrks with a pizza to share.
Oh yeah, and it’s Richard behind the wheel, taking Mayumi, Michelle and I to Penticton. We’re going to pick some fruit today, stay the night and then I’m thinking of hitching out, while the other two will stay for a few more days in order to take advantage of Greyhound’s “Companion” fare.
