Again time passes very quickly but slowly at the same time. I don’t have all the time I’d like, to do all the things that I’d want to. I don’t know the systems as inside out as I used to, plus I don’t have a central location for myself. I’ll get back into the city [...]
Four days? Seems both like so many more and so many less. Ran into George, from Squamish, today. Well, he’s from Ottawa, but I met him in Squamish. He was on the back of the bus. I wandered back.
Checked in and am sitting in the terminal in Calgary, 2 hours ’til boarding. The check in guy was impressed I was early: “We need more people doing it like that”, he said, and I understood. The line had been huge when I arrived. Only about 40 minutes to get through it, though, and everyone [...]

Days are going by. I’m excited about the upcoming holidays – many people don’t know whether I’m coming home or not, and I hope to surprise them. So this entry is withheld for a week (turned out not to be put online for almost 11 months. I got busy!).
Out last night to see the Mudmen, a band from Toronto area who mix bagpipes with hard rock. There wasn’t much of a crowd, so I got to spend a lot of time with the band. Mostly the brothers who play the pipes. At least before the show – afterwards, they were mobbed. They definitely [...]
Got a job, then got accommodations, so quit job, got membership at a local gym and have gone climbing, moved in with Michelle, spent time with ‘Nic, and his van, became part of many peoples lives, if only briefly.
Got in to Banff about 8 PM last night. Checked in to Global Village Hostel, got one of the last beds. Seems space is at a premium nowadays. Met a bunch of folks, went out to the pubs. Folks (staff) remembered my face, which is good, if I want to work for accommodations here – [...]
